About us
Glava Energy Center is situated 33 km south of Arvika in central Sweden. Its primary role is to provide an established site for innovation, learning, technical development, testing, demonstrations and inspiration.
Resources at Glava and Hillringsberg include the REC ScanModule, the second largest solar module factory in Europe, a large conference facility, Hillringsberg manor, owned by Scatec, and a nearby 100 kW biofuel plant. The next step is to install a 100 kW solar park (electricity) and investigate how to establish the first phase of a Smart Grid. The center will also study the option of becoming a national test center for electrical vehicles and their connection to a Smart Grid. Installation of a small hydropower plant and small wind power plant are also possibilities for the future.
In parallel with these projects, Glava Energy Center will establish itself as an open, exciting and easily accessible environment for schools and other visitors. Glava Energy Center is an exciting development project where all participants are winners. Solar Smart Grids - new opportunities for many.
